23. December 1, 2009 The myelogram image on the right (B) is obtained by injecting an iodine dye into the spinal fluid space. It provides precise detail about the shape of the dural lining of the spinal canal. The Magnetic Resonance Neurogram on the left (A) – showing the same patient - provides similar information but also shows the spinal nerves after they exit from the dura. Both images show normal anatomy at the (*) but the Neurogram shows a nerve pinch – (n). The MR Neurogram does not require any injection.
