PROGRAMME MANAGER : ENTERPRISE & SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT
To define, strategically position and develop an enterprise and supplier development practice while driving EMC’s compliance to pertinent legislation & regulations, DTI codes of good practice, policies and procedures and playing an active role in effective execution of strategies, especially through preparing stakeholder presentations and attending relevant meetings on behalf of EMC; develop a business model and identify funding opportunities in support of SMME’s within the maritime industry for business stability and an enabling and conducive environment for growth; apply multi-disciplinary approaches to enterprise and supplier development and enhance the breadth of EMC’s experiences.
Requirements
A relevant Bachelor’s Degree (Legal or Commercial) is required together with a professional experience of at least 5 years in a management function. High level of communication and interpersonal skills. Presentation skills. Analytical and logical thinker with excellent team skills and an ability to work independently. An in-depth understanding of BBBEE and SMME landscape in S.A. and sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and codes of good practice that impact on enterprises and suppliers.
Job Type : Two (2) year contract.
Salary : Negotiable.
PROGRAMME MANAGER, TRAINING AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
To improve education for the maritime industry and to enable talented people to enter the industry; To develop, implement and manage effective training strategies which enhance the maritime industry’s ability to deliver high quality programmes and to compile EMCs workplace skills plan and the subsequent annual training report and attend all SETA’s meetings on behalf of EMC.
Requirements
A minimum Bachelor’s degree is required together with a professional experience of at least 5 years in a management function and/or in heading and controlling a department, preferably in the maritime industry. Preferably a qualified Skills Development Facilitator. Must have a good business understanding and a proven track record in successfully developing and implementing Training Skills Programmes.
Job Type : Two (2) year contract.
Salary : Negotiable.
2. RECEPTIONIST
To answer all incoming calls and handle callers enquiries. To direct guests and visitors to the appropriate staff member and to provide a secretarial, clerical and administrative support for the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation while delivering a friendly customer service and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests and visitors.
Requirements
Secretarial Course (40w/m) typing and short hand. Knowledge of effective administrative tools including manning the switchboard operation.
Must have 2-3 year experience in a secretarial and/or administrative function, ability to effectively multitask and manage projects independently. Demonstratable organising and planning skills, keen attention to detail and excellent communication – written or oral. Job Type : Two (2) year contract.
