Service Now Ticketing System
• Service Now provides service management software as a service by way of a single data model enterprise cloud
platform. The company specializes in IT services management (ITSM), IT operations management (ITOM), and IT
business management (ITBM).
• A business needs to differentiate issues to work with them more efficiently. And it’s quite logical. If we used only the
word ‘clothes’ to refer to everything we wear, it would get quite confusing. Instead, there are socks, ties, shirts, skirts
and so on. They all are different and we use them in different situations.
• Just like that, we have the following types of tickets in Service Now:
Incident (something that is unplanned and causes interruption to an IT service or reduction in its quality).
Problem (a severe issue, a cause behind a number of incidents).
Request (something users want to get from IT support).
Change (a proposal to add, modify or remove something in the sphere of IT services).

o Namenode - keeps track of block locations
o Datanode - stores blocks
 Files commonly split up into 128mb blocks
 Replicated to 3 datanodes by default
 Scales well: 4000 nodes
 Write once

• It is suitable for the distributed storage and processing.
• Hadoop provides a command interface to interact with HDFS.
• The built-in servers of namenode and datanode help users to easily check the status of cluster.
• Streaming access to file system data.
• HDFS provides file permissions and authentication.
