The Art Of Storytelling 
A Viable Communication Tool For Business
Telling Your Business Story 
Storytelling has largely grown from its traditional 
basics of conveying events through words and 
images to being an invaluable marketing tool for 
the modern businesses. The art of storytelling 
involves the modest idea of turning a number of 
tales to become a viable communication tool. 
Typically, storytelling has become a creative 
medium through which businesses interact with 
their clients, and further, boost their audience 
outreach.
1. Telling the right story 
A business needs to deliver the right content 
for their clients or audience. For instance, the 
story can be divided into parts. 
There can be a company story, which includes 
their products, their target market and their 
day-to-day operations among others. On the 
other hand, the story can also contain the 
brand’s message. 
This composes of why the business is dealing in 
that line of activity and the need to satisfy the 
customers.
2. Telling a story with persuasive devices 
A business can work wonders in their marketing 
niche by using persuasive devices like 
parallelism and strategic repetition. Use of the 
right voice and language rich of persuasion, a 
business can create an impact on its customers 
and further still, spark emotional responses 
from them.
3. Have a solid introduction, body and end 
A business need use a ear-catching beginning on their 
marketing story, this is important in hooking up their 
customers. 
Another thing is having a compelling middle story that 
should capture the attention of the clients. This should 
give reasons why the customers should care for the 
products. 
Lastly, there should be a good ending with a call to action 
just to make sure you keep in contact with the customers.
4. Making the story personal 
In a story that the brand sold involves human 
character and sounds, it is advisable that a 
business delivers a more personal story. The 
involvement of human anecdote goes a long 
way in making the sells even better, perhaps 
because the customers will keep remembering 
that.
Conclusion 
Finally, a good use of the natural art of 
storytelling remains an important way to create 
awareness of products. The unlimited customer 
engagement that a business earns through 
storytelling is large enough to boost sells to a 
higher level.
