ENCORE+ aims to create a dynamic,
sustainable network of European OER
repositories, well connected to higher
education and companies, and
surrounded by knowledge communities
equipped with guidelines and tools to
unlock the potential of OER as a catalyst
for innovation.
Project
objectives
1. To set up and support a sustained and well
mapped European OER stakeholders
network based on well connected higher
education and business communities.
2. To foster collaboration and connection of
OER European repositories into a European
OER repository ecosystem.
3. To stimulate the integration of OER
institutional strategies within business and
academia.
4. To establish an open, distributed and highly
trusted community-based OER quality
review paradigm and working mechanism.
5. To demonstrate the innovation potential of
OER within business settings and promote
successful OER business models.

approach
ENCORE+ focuses on four focus themes, each being
dealt with in a specific wp: OER Technology (WP3), OER
Strategy/Policies (WP4), OER Quality (WP5), OER
Innovation & Business (WP6)
WP2 builds the ENCORE+ Network: a) identifying
communities of practice; b) developing organisational
and business models for the network; and c) stakeholder
mapping & scenario development.
Each thematic focus WP will run four Circles to convene
and consolidate stakeholders
Three integration events converge the four discussion
streams and bring members of the communities
together into a sustainable network

  • 4. Project aim ENCORE+ aims to create a dynamic, sustainable network of European OER repositories, well connected to higher education and companies, and surrounded by knowledge communities equipped with guidelines and tools to unlock the potential of OER as a catalyst for innovation.
  • 5. Project objectives 1. To set up and support a sustained and well mapped European OER stakeholders network based on well connected higher education and business communities. 2. To foster collaboration and connection of OER European repositories into a European OER repository ecosystem. 3. To stimulate the integration of OER institutional strategies within business and academia. 4. To establish an open, distributed and highly trusted community-based OER quality review paradigm and working mechanism. 5. To demonstrate the innovation potential of OER within business settings and promote successful OER business models.

Expected outcomes  ENCORE+ network, strengthening and connecting existing OER communities  Integrated architecture of a European OER repositories infrastructure  European guidelines for developing effective OER strategies in business and academia  European open & community-led Quality Review Framework for OER  European business and start-up community, empowered to innovate and improve operations by leveraging OER
  • 7. Target groups Education: HEI leaders and decision makers; Learners (formal and informal) Business : Course/MOOCs providers; Edtech, Tech and service companies Public institutions and policy: Educational authorities and ministries; Quality Assurance Agencies
  • 9. Methodological approach ENCORE+ focuses on four focus themes, each being dealt with in a specific wp: OER Technology (WP3), OER Strategy/Policies (WP4), OER Quality (WP5), OER Innovation & Business (WP6) WP2 builds the ENCORE+ Network: a) identifying communities of practice; b) developing organisational and business models for the network; and c) stakeholder mapping & scenario development. Each thematic focus WP will run four Circles to convene and consolidate stakeholders Three integration events converge the four discussion streams and bring members of the communities together into a sustainable network
