2. SUICIDE AND PARASUICIDE
Suicide
Is the intentional taking of one’s own life.
Parasuicide
A suicide attempt in which a person does not
intend to die.

3. Tendencies:
Talking about suicide or death
Writing farewell letters or giving away
valuable to their friends and sibling
Showing changes in behavior. Moods and
feelings

4. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Is an act that includes physical assault
(hitting, shoving, etc.), sexual abuse
(unwanted of forced sexual activity), and
verbal abuse.

5. Domestic violence includes abuse and actions such as:
 Name-calling or putdowns
 Keeping a partner from contacting his/her family or
friends
 Withholding money/allowance od denying financial
support
 Stopping a partner from getting or keeping a job
 Actual or threatened physical harm
 Sexual assault
 Stalking
 Intimidation

6.  Is very jealous and/or spies on him/her
 Will not let him/her break off the relationship
 Hurts him/her in any way, is violent or bags about
hurting other people
 Puts him/her down or makes him/her feel bad
 Forces him/her to have sex or makes him/her afraid to
say no to sex
 Abuses drugs or alcohol; pressure him/her to use drugs
or alcohol
 Has a history of bad relationships and blame it on others

7. BULLYING
Is unwanted, aggressive behavior.
 An imbalance of power
 Repetition

9. STALKING
Is a pattern of behavior that makes you feel
afraid, nervous, harassed or in danger.
*Involve actions such as:
Knowing your schedule
Showing up at place you go to
Sending mail, e-mail and pictures
Calling or texting repeatedly

10. Contacting you or posting about you on social
network sites
Writing letters
Damaging your property
Creating a web site about you
Sending gifts
Stealing things that belong to you

11. EXTORTION
Is the act of using force or threats to force
people to hand over their money or
properties, on favor.

12. GANG AND YOUTH VIOLENCE
Gang
Is defined as a relatively tough, mostly street-
based group of young people who regard
themselves and may be seen by others as a
group that engages in a range of criminal
activity and violence.

13. FRATERNITY
Is a group of people with similar
backgrounds, occupation, interests or
tastes.

14. KIDNAPPING
Is taking away or forcefully moving a
person against his/her will and holding
him/her in unjust captivity.

15. ACT OF TERROR
Terrorism
Is the use of violence for political goals

of people in fear.

17. VERBAL ABUSE
 Is a form of cruelty that involves the use of words.
Characteristics:
 Hurtful and usually attacks the nature and abilities of the
person
 May be obvious or hidden
 Controlling
 Dangerous
 Fickle
 Usually worsen, increase of strength, regularity and
assortment

18. INCEST
Is sexual contact between persons who are so
closely related that a marriage between them
is illegal.

19. MOLESTATION
 Is the sexual abuse of a person by an adult for sexual
pleasure of for profit.
It may include:
 Fondling
 Mutual masturbation
 Sodomy
 Coitus
 Child pornography
 Child prostitution

20. RAPE
Is forced sexual intercourse,
including vaginal, anal or oral
penetration.
