Similarities and Differences between parents of Vibgyor High and

facility of well equipped libraries.

Similarities Differences
Popularity of television gave more
exposure to audio – visual media.
Internet was not available in those
times.
Unlike India the Television in
Netherlands broadcasted many
channels.
Reading newspapers, magazines
and books was popular amongst the
reading buffs.
The reading choices in the two
countries were different.
Similarities and Differences between grandparents of Vibgyor High and
Sondervick.
Similarities Differences
Well equipped libraries were not
available. Newspapers and radio
was the most popular form of mass
media.
Choices of reading habits were
different
No negative impact of mass media
on the society.
Similarities and Differences between grandparents of Vibgyor High and
RLO.
Similarities Differences
Popularity of television gave more
exposure to audio – visual media.
Internet was not available in those
times.
Television was not available in India
unlike Netherlands.
Reading newspapers, magazines
and books was popular amongst the
reading buffs.
In Netherlands mass media was also
brought about by a news shouter
who walked with a copper plate
through the streets while smashing
on it
Our strengths ……..
The entire experience of completing the project was
marvellous. Right from forming a team, dividing
tasks as per individual forte, framing and editing
questionnaire, interviewing a parent and a
grandparent each, making informative ppts, editing
and uploading videos and group meetings have
given us an all round exposure to learning.
What would we do differently……..
• We think we could have interviewed adults who
do not belong to our families , i.e. unknown
adults. That way we could have got more variety
while taking interviews.
What did we learn from the topic?
Being a part of the Mass Media team not only
helped us to compare different aspects of
daily life of three generations but also taught
us the spirit of team work, co-operation,
dedication and sincerity

Internet was not available in those times. Unlike India the Television in Netherlands broadcasted many channels. Reading newspapers, magazines and books was popular amongst the reading buffs. The reading choices in the two countries were different.

Newspapers and radio was the most popular form of mass media. Choices of reading habits were different No negative impact of mass media on the society.

  • 7. Our strengths …….. The entire experience of completing the project was marvellous. Right from forming a team, dividing tasks as per individual forte, framing and editing questionnaire, interviewing a parent and a grandparent each, making informative ppts, editing and uploading videos and group meetings have given us an all round exposure to learning.
  • 8. What would we do differently…….. • We think we could have interviewed adults who do not belong to our families , i.e. unknown adults. That way we could have got more variety while taking interviews.
  • 9. What did we learn from the topic? Being a part of the Mass Media team not only helped us to compare different aspects of daily life of three generations but also taught us the spirit of team work, co-operation, dedication and sincerity
