5. Airplane Launcher Kit
The objective of Airplane Launcher Project could be as follows:
At the end of the project will be a competition. The competition consist of a 7
minute presentation and a demonstration of the team’s flight airplane
capabilities.
There will be 3 attempts per team at 3 different distances (9 total flights) to hit
a target.
The target may be anywhere between 5 and 15 feet from the launch pad.
Reasonable set-up time for each shot is allowed during fly-off (2 minutes for
the initial launch, 1 minute between shots). No practice shots during the
competition.
The plane must use ALL parts in the kit (no aero-bullets!)
All design changes and permanent modifications must be approved by the
instructor prior to use
The desired result is to hit the target with plane in flight. If the plane hits the
ground prior to impact the hit will not be counted.
