Land Acquisition Process
• Will occur after pre-final design complete.
• Plats will be prepared showing easements
and/or right-of-way needed.
• Land Acquisition Agent will contact
property owners to negotiate.

Construction
• We will coordinate with property owners
well in advance.
• Fences may be temporarily removed &
replaced. Relocation to private property
may be necessary, if within the right-of-
way.
• Work hours are set by VDOT.

• Intermediate Design – Late 2016
• Pre-final Design – Spring 2017
• Land Acquisition –Mid to Late 2017
