5. The Grand Canyon A powerful and inspiring landscape, the Grand Canyon overwhelms our senses through its immense size. Unique combinations of geologic color and erosional forms decorate a canyon that is 277 river miles (446km) long, up to 18 miles (29km) wide, and a mile (1.6km) deep.

7. The Harbor of Rio de Janeiro Rio de Janeiro Harbor, River of January, is considered as one of the seven wonders of the natural world. It has been known as one of the most beautiful natural harbors. People admired the geology so much that they said, “God made the world in six days and on the seventh, he concentrated on Rio .” The climate is wonderful. The beaches are free to everyone.
8. Paricutin Volcano Paricutin Volcano , or the Volcan de Paricutin in Mexico has originated recently, and is one of the natural wonders whose birth, growth and death have been well recorded. The eruption that created Paricutin began in 1943 and continued until the year 1952. The first year covered most of the explosive activity and the cone grew to a height of 1,100 ft. and although it wasn't as cataclysmic as the fall of Pompeii, it changed forever the lives of the inhabitants of Paricutin.
9. The Northern Lights Northern lights is the name of a light phenomenon often seen in the northern regions. The lights have been around since Earth formed an atmosphere -the dinosaurs saw it, early humans saw it and our descendants will se it. The scientific name for the phenomenon is “Aurora Borealis”, aurora for short.
