Sharring Faamalo Fanene Aoelua Niusulu was diagnosed with leukemia in 2010. She underwent chemotherapy and other treatments which caused side effects like hair loss, weakness, nausea and memory problems. Due to medical costs and her condition, she requires ongoing support. She continues to help others through bone marrow drives in hopes of finding matches for cancer patients like herself.

She continued her
education at ASCC
and tutored,
performed in the
theatrical arts and
participated in all
SGA activities.

went through 8
cycles of
chemotherapy,
monthly intratheco
procedures, numerous
biopsies and much
more.

costly but they are needed to keep her alive.

37. Cancer is painful and lonely. Sharring drinks
lots of pills daily. The drugs make her weak,
nauseous, dizzy, lose her appetite, forgetful,
have mood swings, difficult to concentrate,
migraines, and sensitive to sunlight.
