We met people in our community who are affected by our project. I know I have the experiences and skills I need for the future. I feel like my classmates understand me and we’re working towards a common goal. I’ve hit an obstacle that I need help to overcome.

Terrible graduation rates School is irrelevant Even our “highest performing” schools are the schools we need
FACILITATOR NOTES: Time permitting, one could mention here what the presenter first felt when walking into a NTN school—how it felt different, like a work place. The reaction of biz leaders—several have told us that they would hire these kids right out of high school – they are more prepared than many of the college graduates they see. The story of how a community was able to lure a new company to locate within its borders, partly as a result of New Tech’s presence.
