Project failure often originates in the planning phase - where often it is the absence of an effective plan that causes problems on the project. This Gantt Chart template includes examples of simple and more advanced project plans and provides templates to allow you to easily develop a plan for your project - whether that is over just a few days or weeks; up to a year or even up to three years - there is a template for each of these. What is a Gantt Chart? In simple terms a project Gantt Chart is a visual view (a plan) of tasks scheduled over time and is used for planning projects of all sizes. This template will help you develop a plan that shows: ? The start and end of the project; ? All of the project tasks, when they need to be done and by whom; ? Links (dependencies) between the tasks; ? How long each task should take - and if you need it how much each task costs and any variance between what is estimated and reality. There's even a couple of examples that show you what to do. More than this though, this planning tool is easy to adapt and change to meet your needs and you can reuse it as many times as you need to - you only need to buy it once. While, there is some specific project planning and project management software available - MS Excel is simple to use and provides an easy means to communicate. In particular, most people you would want to share with will likely have MS Excel but may not have specific project planning software.
