Role play

1. ◎ Role play: (1 to 2 minutes)
Your group has to sell your house or apartment IN ENGLISH. Some of the group members have to
be the salespersons, and the others have to be the customers who are going to buy houses or
apartment. All the group members have to act in the play. Just create your own role play. Also, a
commercial advertisement with your creation and imagination can be designed!
Characters
Example: Salesperson→ 劇中姓名或身分 Sandy (同學姓名: 林瑪莉)
1. saleswomen →Momo (黃凱琳 )
2. single women →Totoro (陳季琳 )
3. wife →Domo (何育萱 )
4. husband →Elmo (林 辰 )
Script
Setting or Plot Description
Momo is standing outside the apartment which is going to be sold, and there
are some customers coming over to ask her some information about the
apartment.
T: Excuse me, ma’am. Could you show me around the apartment?
M: Sure. It’s my pleasure.
(go up stairs)
T: I tend to buy a house with one bedroom and a bathroom. Also, I am just willing to pay
about 5 million for it. That’s all.
M: Well……We have a house with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a
bathroom. The price is about 7 million.
T: Let me consider about it for a while. (after 3 seconds)Maybe this one doesn’t suit for
me. Thank you very much.
M: (go back lonely and wait for customers)
E: Sorry, ma’am. Are you a salesperson who works in Wahaha Company?
D: W.C.? Restroom?
M: (an embarrassing smile) You’re right. What can I do for you?
D: We are a sweet couple. We just got married. Can you show us the apartment?
M: OK. Let’s go~
(go up stairs)
E: It’s looks wonderful and lovely! Can you tell us the strengths?
M: It’s has a reasonable price. It has simple and great equipments. Here is the information
about the house.(give the paper)
D: Thanks. Let’s read it for a while.
E and D: (read the paper carefully and start to discuss with each other)
(after 3 hours)
M: (start to doze)
D: Hey! Can you lower your voice, or my ears will go deaf!
E: I didn’t mean it. Wake up, Madam! (wake up M)
M: (wake up and rub the eyes) Do you have any questions?
D: Does it have a swimming pool?
M: Of course not, my dear.
E: What a pity.
D and E: (look at each other) That’s OK. Thank you. We will think whether we should buy
it. Goodbye~
