NHD is a natural fit for school to college pipeline programming, especially to underserved, majority-minority high & middle schools in the metro Atlanta region (and beyond). National History Day outreach at Georgia State’s Decatur campus has focused on topic development, research skill instruction, and access to resources for area high and middle schools in DeKalb County. National History Day is an excellent program that can expose younger students to college level research and provide an introduction to the college experience.
