offers a robust roster of student scholarships. Generally, scholarship money comes from alumni, faculty,
staff, the MassBay Foundation, friends of the college and industry and community partners. These
funds are tailored to the community college student, blending traditional rewards such as academic
achievement or athletics, with emergency funds for unanticipated costs and rewards for single parents.
MassBay also helps students with textbook purchases by allowing them to purchase books at 25% less
than the original price and enabling students to sell their unwanted books for cash.

can be a barrier. Online degrees enable students to earn the credential they need to get ahead, while
still earning the paycheck they need. Online certificates are also available for students looking to
