2. HootSuite
This is your dashboard -- where you
can update, schedule and review
your social media channels. The
majority of all of your social media
strategy can be implemented
through this portal.
Visit HootSuite.com to sign up. A
free account allows you to connect
up to five social networks. You can
preview a paid account for 30-days.
After that you can pay $9.99/mo for
most services, with a few optional
upgrades available.

3. Publisher:
Quickly view scheduled posts, past posts, or add new ones. You can access the
Publisher by clicking on the paper airplane icon in the left hand rail.
You can filter this page by social
media channel, or look at ALL
scheduled posts.
Try scheduling multiple posts
per day, at varying times. Posts
should be a mix of content,
including articles, resources and
job postings.
Note: You do not need to schedule
any posts to Twitter, as FB is
currently set up to forward directly
to that channel.

4. HootSuite is your DASHBOARD, where you can access your
major social networking profiles and select one or all to post
updates.
Type your message here and then select
the accounts here.
Use the calendar icon to schedule posts.
And be sure to use the Add a link box for
url shortening and to track traffic.

10. Custom Lists: You can create lists of businesses that you want to
follow or track. The list can be public, in which case
others can see and subscribe to follow the same list,
or private.
This list will be created in HootSuite, but through the
Twitter profile. You will also be able to view or edit
this list directly in Twitter.

11. You can now choose an existing list, or you can
create a new one. You can add a description for
your reference. (Remember to mark the list public
or private.)
Note: If you are creating a list for the first time, you will need to
go back to the profile you wanted to add and do it again. If it is
to an already existing list, you will have that come up as an
option here under My Lists.

14. Apps:
HootSuite allows you to add third
party applications to your account.
Some will have streams, others will
have plug-ins and some will have
both.
Most apps have a stream available,
and in some cases, you can publish
the content to your audiences
through the HootSuite publisher
tool.
For those with a plug-in available,
you can send content from Facebook
and Twitter streams to outside apps
such as ZenDesk, Storify and
Evernote.

for you, selecting an

assigned tasks.
All Team Members must have a

assignments.
