2. The 180 Degree rule is a rule rarely broken in films, making and editing of it. The only exception for breaking this rule would be to disorientate the viewer which some directors have done purposely in their movies. The 180 degree rule is to establish the position of two people. E.g. a man on the left, woman on the right. By following the 180 degree rule the position of the man and woman have to stay he same. In this diagram the green line shows where the camera can go if its first position was on the right side where the man is left and woman right. Cutting to the other side of this circle and would disorientate the viewer, breaking the 180 degree rule.
