The Type of Household
 Households, A household contains one or more people.
Everyone living in a housing unit makes up a household.
One of the people who owns or rents the residence is
designated as the householder. For the purposes of exam-
ining family and household composition, two types of
households are defined: family and nonfamily.
 A family household has at least two members related by
birth, marriage, or adoption, one of whom is the
householder.

5.  A non-family household can be either a person living alone
or a house-holder who shares the housing unit only with
non relatives for example, boarders or roommates. The
non relatives of the householder may be related to each
other.
 Blended Family, a family that includes children from a
previous marriage of the wife, husband, or both parents

6. FAMILY LIFE CYCLE
The emotional and intellectual stages you
pass through from childhood to your
retirement years as a member of a family
are called the family life cycle. In each stage,
you face challenges in your family life that
allow you to build or gain new skills.

7. FAMILY LIFE CYCLE STAGE
 Leaving Home : Single Young adults
Emotionally accepting and financial responsibility for self.
 The Joining of families through marriage : The New
couple
Emotionally have a commitment to new system, like ensure Formation
of Marital System.
 Families with young children
Accepting new members into the system and they’re must adjusting
marital system to make space for child(ren)

8.  Families with adolescent
Emotionally they have responsibility to Increasing flexibility of family
boundaries to include children’s independence and grandparent’s
frailities.
 Launching children and Moving on
Accepting a multitude of exits from and entries into the family system.
 Families in later life
Accepting the shifting of generational roles.

9. Advantage
Wherever we build a family each
member have their role to live
their life and we must’ve
responsibility to our Family.
