3. INTRODUCTION
The Evo Mouse is the evolution of the computer mouse.
The evolution mouse is the latest and portable device develop-
ed by Folks from Celluon
Evo Mouse is a dog – shaped device that functions differently
and not like the other mouse
4. The first functional mouse was actually demonstrated by
Douglas Engelbart in 1964
It was manufactured from wood and featured two gear-
wheels perpendicular to each other
This mouse was first used with the Xerox Alto computer
system in 1964
As can be seen by the picture, the mouse was much larg-
er than today's mouse, square, and had a small button in
the top right corner
HISTORY OF MOUSE
5. CONTD….
1) Mechanical Mouse
Bill English created a ball mouse in 1972
The ball mouse replaced the external wheels with a single
ball that could rotate in any direction
6. CONTD….
2) Optical Mouse :
An optical mouse was developed in around 1980
Optical mouse make use of one or more light-emitting diodes
(LEDs) and an photodiodes to detect movement relative to the
underlying surface
It is unable to detect movement on surfaces like glass
7. CONTD….
3) Wireless Mouse
Wireless Mouse does not consist of any cords to connect mouse t
o the PC
Cordless or wireless mouse transmit data via infrared radiation or
Bluetooth signals
This consist of Transmitter and Receiver part connected trough wi
relessly
8. BASIC PRINCIPLE
The basic principle used in the Evo Mouse is "time of flight"
principle
This principle is used to detect the motion of objects based on the time diff
erence between the emission of a signal and its return to the sensor, after b
eing reflected by an object
9. COMPONENTS OF EVO MOUSE
IR pulse emitter - you can see the rectangle at the bottom.
TOF CMOS sensor - on the head of the cute shape between the two
LEDs (LEDs here are indicators of system in operation, not for TOF fun
ction).

11. HOW IT WORKS…?
The Evo Mouse works on nearly any flat surface and requires very little sp
ace.
With the Evo Mouse, you can perform common mouse operations using o
nly your fingers
You can control the cursor, click and select, double-click, right-click and
drag with basic hand gestures
It tracks smoothly to your comfortable and natural movements.
12. FUNCTIONS
It performs functions such as cursor control, right- and left-cli
cking, dragging and double-clicking
13. The Celluon Evo Mouse offers multi touch capabilitie
s, letting you rotate and zoom on images and scroll te
xt using gestures

14. CONTD….
It also offers the handwriting recognition, which we can do us
- ing our finger or a pen

16. ADVANTAGES
Works almost on any surface
Little space needed ( space saver )
Offers Multi-touch functionality
Works with all desktop & laptop PC
It connects via Bluetooth or a standard USB port
17. CONCLUSION
The Evo Mouse changes the way to interact with the computer by
allowing us to use natural hand movements and gestures in order
to control the on screen cursor
The Evo Mouse is next generation computer mouse
