• Beware of the social media hype
• OK to just play at first, but then you should get
strategic.
• Questions:
o Are my customers/competitors /complementary businesses here?
o Is this suited to the way my business works?
o What content can I send out that is useful, entertaining, of value?
o Do I actually have a marketing strategy in the first place?!

are some tools to help…
o Hootsuite and Tweetdeck
• ‘Dashboard’, easily see saved searches, analytics, schedule tweets,
shorten links
o Social Oomph (and others)
• More features than Twitter alone, autofollow
o Buffer
• Sends tweets out through out day.
o Time management e.g. ‘just 10 mins a day’. Keep your marketing strategy
in mind.
