2. FIFTH MODE OF TRANSPORTATION:
Hyper loop
HEMANTH KUMAR
3. What is a hyper loop:-
It consists of a sealed tube or tubes in which pods will travel
without any air resistance or frictional resistance.
It is given name hyper loop because it travels in a loop
4. -
HISTORY & INITIATION:-
• The idea of transmitting People or goods through the sealed
tubes was introduced in late 17th century only.
• The British Mechanical Engineer George Medhust wrote a
book detailing his idea about transmitting passengers and
goods through air tight tube using air propulsion.
• The billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk first initiated the
hyperloop project by announcing his project in 2012
5.
6. How it is powered ?
It uses solar energy for its power requirements
The solar panels are placed on the tube.
9. Main parts of hyperloop:-
• Capsule.
• Low pressure tube.
• Electromagnetic launch
system
• Bearing system
• Compressors
10. Capsule:-
• It travels onside the tube and is supported by
air bearings.
• The passengers are seated in it and also a
housing for compressor and batteries
11. Low pressure
tube:-
• It is generally made
up of steel.
• Pylons are placed for
every 30 meters to
support the tube
12. Electro magnetic launch
system:-
• This system
consists of linear
induction motor.
• The capsule will be
driven at high
speeds by this
system only.
16. ADVANTAGES OF HYPERLOOP:-
It is resistant to weather.
It have sustainability and it is self powered.
High safety and low cost.
earth quake resistant.
can travel with high speeds.
17. Companies getting involved:-
Hyperloop One, USA
Hyper loop Transportation
Technologies (HTT), USA
TransPod, Canada
DGWHyperloop, India
AECOM, USA
SpaceX, USA
18. Conclusion:-
Finally I want to conclude that if we use this
technology as our future transportation system. We can
reduce the time of travel with safe and green
