  3. 3. Was ist das? • (Un-)Konferenzformat, dessen Inhalt von den Teilnehmern vor Ort gestaltet wird • Keine konkrete Programmplanung vorab • Häufig „digitale“ Themen • Sehr viel Input in kurzer Zeit • Sehr anregend, aber auch sehr anstrengend

FOOCamps (FOO = „Friends Of O‘Reilly“) • Als offenen Gegenentwurf erfand Chris Messina 2005 das „BarCamp“ • Programmierer-Wortspiel: Wenn FOO, dann BAR

  6. 6. Die 8 BarCamp-Regeln (1/2) 1. Sprich über das BarCamp. 2. Blogge über das BarCamp. 3. Wenn du etwas präsentieren willst, musst du dein Thema und deinen Namen in ein Präsentationsfenster schreiben. (“Sessionboard”) 4. Stelle dich mit drei Worten vor.
  7. 7. Die 8 BarCamp-Regeln (2/2) 5. So viele zeitgleiche Präsentationen wie es Räume gibt. 6. Keine vorher festgelegten Präsentationen, keine Zuschauer (sondern Teilnehmer). 7. Präsentationen dauern so lange, wie sie dauern oder bis das nächste Präsentationsfenster beginnt. 8. Wenn du zum ersten Mal bei einem BarCamp bist, MUSST du präsentieren.
  8. 8. ThemenBarCamps • BarCamps mit Fokus auf ein Thema (z.B. Typo3, Video, Wordpress, Monitoring, etc.) • Kleinere Zielgruppe • Höhere Chance auf Sponsoren, da weniger Streuverlust • Größte „Gefahr“ für Konferenzen, da mehr Wissenstransfer und Austausch möglich
  9. 9. Interne BarCamps • BarCamps mit geschlossenem Teilnehmerkreis (Firma, Verband, etc.) • Vereinfachter Wissensaustausch • Erhöhte interne Vernetzung • Gute Möglichkeit, Themen für die interne Agenda zu identifizieren

  18. 18. Das BarCamp stirbt nie. Format ist nicht für jeden etwas, aber es gibt stetig neue Teilnehmer. Und Themen.
  19. 19. BarCamp vs. ThemenCamp? Der Anteil der ThemenCamps wird eher noch steigen.
  20. 20. Professionalisierung? Solange die Regeln beachtet werden: Immer gern. Und unbedingt.
  21. 21. Kommerzialisierung? Kein Problem. Und keine Gefahr (vor allem in der Nische und nach den Regeln).
  22. 22. Eintritt? Wird bleiben. Und kann auch (gerade bei ThemenCamps) weiter steigen.
