1. Teen smoking is on the rise and it is a problem. Because
parents don't care what there children or child does. They also sneak
off away from people, and go under bridges or in alley's. Teens can
get diseases, like lung cancer or lucemia from smoking. They do it to
improve their self image to look cool like everybody else that does
it. They also try to talk other people in to smoking with them. Now
is that how you want your children or child acting?
My solutions to stopping it. You could could teach kids
before, during, and after school. Teach them about what it could do
to them. How it can hurt or kill them? Or teach the parent. What it
could do to there child. Or what it could do to there child's life. Or
what it could do to the people around them that don't smoke. Teach
teens and their parents about the dangers of them smoking. Also how
it's not good to smoke at all not till your 18 but at all. You could
teach them why and how its not good to smoke at all. My best way
would be to teach kids and parents about why and how its not good
to smoke at all not till your 18 but at all.
There are some more solutions. You could stop showing
magazine adds about them. Bane movies with people smoking in
them so teens don't see it as cool. Stop showing TV commercials and
TV adds about them. Get rid of magazine adds so teens don't think it
looks cool because some big tough guy is doing it or some famous
girl doing it. Stop telling about them on the radio so they dont hear
about people doing it. Stop having famous people tell you about
them on the radio and on TV and in magazines. Also stop letting
people put signs and flyer's up around town telling people and kids
and teens about them. Also don't let no what so ever advertising go
on about them no more. I think the best way is to stop advertising
about them.
I think the media will be the best opinion. Because if
teens don't see other people doing it they want. Like if a famous
person was doing on tv or in a magazine and then they wasn't on TV
2. or in the magazine no more they wouldn't smoke no more. Or in a
magazine like if a tough guy was doing it and then in the next
edition they wasn't in there they wouldn't smoke no more. Or at least
think about it. If people quit advertising they would think they were
the only ones smoking and then they would quit smoking.
In conclusion, teen smoking is a problem today. You can
stop it by having full supervision of the teenagers. You can also stop
it by stopping advertisements. I think media would be the best way
to stop teenage smoking.
