Jobu's place
- 4. Switching gears – forming the concrete bar
tops. Rebar and special effects lighting
- 5. These are the lights – melted glass rounds glued
to aluminum tubes set in the forms. Concrete was
poured around them.
- 6. The only way to
dry fresh-cut
bamboo. Put it
on the roof and
listen to it pop
and crack!
- 7. Work continues on the bar. Setting the
supports for the heavy bar tops. The long one
weighed over 250 pounds!
- 9. A shot of Lois‟ handiwork with a hammer. Well-done!
(Jobu showed her the way)
- 13. We set up the “app” station first. “Appetizers”
- 15. Both tops set and the crowds begin to form!
(Drinking a toast to Jobu)
- 21. The bar stools may need
some re-design work.
Bamboo is tough to glue!
- 23. Bamboo snack trays
The lights in the tops
are awesome! Lit from
below by LED lights.
Done! Ready for Jobu!
