11.   Competent : Good Networker
      –   Everyone know them and knows that they know what they’re talking about.
      –   Rarest combination. Highly valuable people.

21.   Good Networker : Incompetent
      –   Everyone knows that they’re full of sh*t
      –   An unfortunately common combination. And the worst one. It’s irrecoverable.

31.   Competent : Bad Networker
      –   Anyone who does know them knows that they know what they’re talking about
      –   A common positioning for ex-engineers. Can be fixed by learning to network..

41.   Incompetent : Bad Networker
      –   No-one knows that they’re full of sh*t.
      –   This position is quite rare, but it’s recoverable.

  1. Note that this whole discussion assumes that people have a certain energy level. A low energy person is less use than a high energy person….but at the same energy levels a Lazy smart person is more useful than a diligent smart person. The diligent person will use their energy to do the task the same way as before. The lazy person will use their energy to do something else after they’ve identified an easier solution.
