18. Upcoming Living Lab Opportunities
IBBT recently integrated the i-City organization
We have been busy structuring a support organization for
living lab projects, ilab.o with staff from both IBBT and i-City
We are also preparing a number of living lab projects that
will be presented to IWT for approval before summer and
should normally kick-off in the second half of the year
These projects will focus on living lab projects in areas
such as media, mobility and e-health and potentially include
high-bandwidth infrastructure components
Interested parties can contact mark.decolvenaer@ibbt.be
20. Open innovation platforms …
… to ‘overcome systematic failures’
Many failures ~ failing potential estimation
e.g. Mobile Television Finland (2006)
= Being user-centric? Ok … but too fragmented (one shot)
21. Open innovation platforms (IBBT iLab.o) …
… transcending ‘one shot user feedback approach’
continuous user feedback (through all NPD-stadia)
Need Finding Shaping Business Model
22. Open innovation platforms (IBBT iLab.o) …
… Mobile Television
Living Lab 2007-8, app. N: 100
Survey (needs) + proxy innovation assessment + diaries + usability +
observation + photo-elicitation + focus groups + …
23. Open innovation platforms (IBBT iLab.o) …
… Mobile Television
