SUPERCAPTM FAST is a self-leveling cement product that can be applied to concrete surfaces as soon as 3 days after pouring to provide a smooth, level finish up to 1.5 inches thick. It reaches a compressive strength of 5000 PSI within 24 hours, allowing for installation of flooring. The product fills voids and removes variations in concrete slabs to provide a smooth, dense surface suitable for applying finished floor goods such as carpeting, vinyl, and wood as soon as one day after application.

SUPERCAP™ FAST CONCRETE CAPPING CEMENT
SUPERCAP™- THE NEXT GENERATION SLAB
SUPERCAP™ FAST is a specially designed, high-performance, self-leveling, cement-based
product designed for capping of interior concrete surfaces. The slab should be finished rough and
open (bull-floated only) and does not need to be finished in the traditional way (power-troweling).
SUPERCAP™ FAST can be applied to new concrete as soon as three days after pour depending
on factors such as mix design, jobsite conditions and end-user requirements. Finished floor goods
may be installed as soon as 24 hours after application of SUPERCAP™ FAST depending on
thickness, drying conditions and type of flooring materials.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS
• Pour depths of 1/8” to 1 ½” – designed to remove camber in slab or concrete surface variation
• Low alkali formulation allows for quick installation of finished floor goods
• SUPERCAP™ FAST provides minimum compressive strength of 5000 PSI and allows for
application of finished floor goods in as little as 24 hours
• Water damage stable: will not deteriorate, warp, buckle, or change shape even when
temporarily soaked or exposed to high moisture conditions
• Surface is walkable in 1-4 hours and may be open to construction traffic within 24 hours
• Can be left open to normal trades traffic for up to 1 year prior to installation of floor coverings
• Inorganic formulation will not contribute to or harbor growth of mold or mildew
• Will not contribute to damaging emissions or irritating fumes upon setting or curing (in
compliance with strict indoor air quality demands)

SURFACE PREPARATION
SUPERCAP™- THE NEXT GENERATION SLAB
SUPERCAP™ FAST is formulated to be poured over properly prepared concrete slabs. The use of SUPERCAP™ FAST
eliminates the need for labor and equipment-intensive floor smoothing techniques. Any new slab should be poured at a
depth approximately 1/2” lower than desired final slab height and should be finished rough and open. Bull-floating or
equivalent is all that is required to prepare surface for SUPERCAP™ FAST installation. Wax-based curing agents should
not be used, since they are bond-breakers. Since leveling will be achieved using SUPERCAP™, traditional methods such
as power-troweling are not required. New concrete should be allowed to dry for a minimum of 3 days prior to installation of
SUPERCAP™. Relative humidity of substrate should be tested according to ASTM F 2170 and must be 95% or less.
Substrate shall be free from dust, dirt, oil, grease, paint or any other jobsite contaminants which may inhibit the bond to the
surface. Weak or contaminated surfaces must be mechanically cleaned by shot blasting or scarifying. Never use chemicals
to clean the substrate without prior written consent from the manufacturer. Surface bond strength of the substrate should
be minimum 100 psi (0.7 MPa). If required to meet level tolerances, survey surface using PTI’s LEVELMASTER and
apply LEVEL PEGS. Substrate should be primed with SUPERCAP™ PRIMER (see primer literature for proper
preparation and use). Substrate temperature should be a minimum 43°F (6°C) during application and ambient temperature
maintained between 50-77°F (10-25°C). Adequate ventilation should be provided to ensure uniform drying.
APPLICATION
Pour blended material onto substrate at a thickness of between 1/8” to 1 ½” (3-38mm) for all surfaces except lightweight
concrete, where a thickness of 1/4” to 3/8” (6-10mm) must be maintained. Perform slump test and adjust water accordingly
until ideal patty size of 11-12 inches is obtained for SUPERCAP™FAST. Immediately smooth the poured slurry with a
gauge rake, notched trowel or smoother. Material can be walked on after 1-4 hours.
FLOORING INSTALLATION
Finished floor material may be installed as soon as 24 hours over SUPERCAP™FAST after application, depending on
thickness, drying conditions and type of finished floor. Due to the relatively low pH level of SUPERCAP™, finished floor
goods can be applied rapidly without risk of adhesive bond failure. As a general rule, permeable materials such as
carpeting may be adhesively or mechanically applied to SUPERCAP™FAST when RH level of substrate (i.e. concrete
slab, etc) is 95% or below. Non-permeable floor goods such as VCT may be applied when the RH level of the substrate is
85% or below. Installation must allow for the eventual drying of the concrete substrate. RH levels should be determined
according to ASTM standard F2170. In all cases, the recommendations of the floor covering manufacturer should be
followed.
LIMITATIONS
For indoor applications only. Not intended for use as a wear surface. Not for applications exposed to continuous water of
intrusion.
STORAGE
Product should be stored in dry conditions and in the original packaging. Use within 6 months of date of manufacture.

WARNING: Dust may cause skin, eye nose, throat, or reparatory irritation. Avoid dust inhalation and exposure to dust. If
dusty, wear a NIOSH/MSHA-approved dust respirator. Use proper ventilation to reduce dust exposure. Portland cement is
strongly alkaline and can be corrosive to eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Wear eye and skin protection. If eye contact
occurs, immediately flush thoroughly with water for 15 minutes and get medical attention. Do not ingest. If ingested and any
discomfort occurs, call physician.
