• Literary elements are parts of literature
  that together help to capture all ideas
  that express the author.
THESE ARE
CHARACTERS


  Refers to a person, animal or object in a
  story.


The end of a story, a character should
change or grow somehow.
GOOD CHARACTERS ARE:
    grow or change over time


          believable


           consistent


          memorable
SETTING

• Is the time and location in which a story
  takes place.
THERE ARE SEVERAL ASPECTS

 Atmosphere: What

THEME

•   Central insight , but not every literary
    work has a theme.



• The theme may be the thoughts about a
  topic or view of human nature.
SOME SIMPLE EXAMPLES OF COMMON
   THEMES FROM LITERATURE:

• - Love is blind.   • - People are
                       afraid of change.


• - Believe in       • - Don't judge a
  yourself             book by its cover
CONFLICT

• It is the opposition of forces which ties
  one incident to another and makes the
  plot move.


• Without conflict there is no plot.
CONFLICT CAN BE

PLOT


• It is the sequence of events in a story .
THERE ARE FIVE ESSENTIAL
    PARTS OF PLOT:

• First Person Narrator.



• Third person objetive narrator.
• Third person limited, or partially
  omniscient narrator.



• Third person omniscient narrator.
