This document presents a study that assesses exposure to electric and magnetic fields from live line operators of a proposed 1200 kV ultra high voltage AC transmission line in India. It evaluates the fields for single circuit and double circuit line configurations using MATLAB software. Various work scenarios are considered, including operators working at ground level and on ladders at the mid span and tower. The assessed field values are compared to exposure limits from international standards. The objectives are to create awareness of power frequency field radiation and health issues, and encourage regulations. The maximum electric field exposures were 7.47 kV/m and 7.29 kV/m for operators at the mid span. Magnetic field exposures were 338 mG and 347 mG. Exposures
