2. #1 – Graymatics : image & video recognition
• Graymatics is a cloud platform, it analyses video and image content
to understand consumer interests through the content they have
liked, shared and pinned.
• Can be used for contextual advertising, e-commerce or to study
consumer behaviour at a retail store (gender, age, race and
emotions).
• A Singapore & Silicon Valley-based company founded in 2011
3. #2 – Tapidata : the e-receipt
• Tapidata is specialized in developing customer insights through an
innovative mobile digital receipt solution.
• Founded in 2013 in Singapore under full support of National
University of Singapore (NUS) and Media Development Authority
(MDA).
4. #3 – Trakomatic : insights from your physical store
• Track visitor traffic flow, premises occupancy, time spent on
premises, demographic of shoppers, repeat customers.
• Founded in 2013, Trakomatic offers video analytics technologies to
provide real-time data of visitors and predict crowd density.
• It is one of the 8 companies so far whose products have been
accredited by the Infocomm Development Authority.
5. #4 – Buzzign from Accufind: indoor localization
• Founded in 2014, Accufind provides Location Based Solutions on
mobile platform. It can locates and track mobile devices anywhere
inside a store or a mall.
• Buzzign is a software from Accufind which enables real-time social
media interaction between brands and their customers through
digital displays and location-sensing apps.
6. #5 – Ksubaka, for a better in-store experience
• Ksubaka, formerly playTMN, delivers remotely managed touch
screen displays in retail stores to improve the consumer exprience
in-store.
• They announced in Sept. 2015 more than 1 million engagements
per months, in 2 locations : Beijing and Singapore.
7. #6 – ABEJA, “the Google Analytics of the real world”
• ABEJA is providing “the Google Analytics service of the real world”
using the latest technology of image analysis and machine
learning to obtain or use in-store customer behavior data.
• The startup was founded in 2012 in Tokyo.
8. #7 – Trax, in-store shelf monitoring by image recognition
• Israeli-Singaporean startup, Trax provides in-store shelf
monitoring, analysis and technology powered by image
recognition to tier one manufacturers and channel partners.
• Trax technology turns everyday mobile images into real-time
actionable insights.
• Founded in 2010 in Singapore. Funding: 15M$ Series D.
9. #8 – DataSpark to optimise outlet locations and opening
times
• DataSpark GeoAnalytics allows retailers to optimise outlet
locations and opening times by interpreting footfall data on
selected locations in terms of footfall volume, customer traffic
throughout the week and peak time periods through the day.
• Part of SingTel, Asia’s leading communications group.
