At Intuit, each and every employee contributes to our success. And we constantly look for opportunities to celebrate their contributions. Take A Bow was an employee driven initiative at Intuit India, in which employees recognized each other for the amazing recognitions we received in 2016.

Intuit Confidential and Proprietary
In 2016, we reimagined how we honor
success, to make it an employee driven
celebration.
3. We recognize that it’s our employees who make us what we
are – a great place to work.
In fact, every employee contributes to our success!
How do we show the value of each employee and inspire
inspire them to own the success?
With Take a Bow, we centered the campaign around the
following objectives:
Intuit Confidential and Proprietary
Nurture a small company spirit
in a growing organization.
Build excitement and awareness
around our culture of employee/
peer recognition.
Build trust, pride and
camaraderie between
employees.
Take a Bow
Key objectives
4. June 18 – 25, 2016
• A bare ‘Take a Bow’ tree was placed on the wall of a
traffic area on each of our 10 office floors.
• All employees (including leaders) were invited to
inspirational, heartfelt thank you note on a leaf or
any individual or team.
• Employees could put up any number of thank you
on as many floors as they wanted.
• Employees were also able to notify their peer(s)
through our online Take a Bow spotlight tool.
• Every day a new theme for appreciation was posted
to the trees to give employees new thanking ideas.
• A contest was also launched between floors. A
was in store for the floor with largest tree.

Implementation
5. Intuit Confidential and Proprietary
Nurture a small company spirit in a
growing organization.
Build excitement awareness around our
culture of employee recognition.
Build trust, pride and camaraderie
between employees.
• Create opportunity for leaders to
contribute.
• Ensure high-visibility and
accessibility.
• Gamify.
• Socialize.
• Take bite-sized celebrations to
where the small teams are – their
floors.
• Take a pen to paper approach to
make it easy and fun to
contribute.
• Ensure the campaign was
highly-personalized.
• Ensure that success was
employee owned and the
campaign was employee
driven.
Barriers around accessibility and motivation needed to be addressed in order to rally
employees, get company-wide participation, and meet our objectives.
Take a Bow
Obstacles
6. This grassroots campaign of just one week
delivered lasting results.
• In no time, the trees on every floor grew with
thank you notes in celebration of those we work
with every day.
• Over 1,600 handwritten notes found their way
to the trees.
• The winning tree had 281 leaves and the team
celebrated their win with a floor party of games
and treats.
• The trees still adorn our floors and continue to
give our employees an opportunity to thank each
other for every effort that they want to
celebrate.

8. TheTake a Bow initiative reflects the
importance our company gives for peer
recognition. The method chosen to express our
appreciation for our colleagues was extremely
creative. What I found nice about this is that
often, we tend to forget to appreciate someone
for their deeds, but when it’s put up on a
platform for all to notice, it helps share the joy.

Imagine getting tired of working at your desk, taking
a coffee or a tea break, only to see leaves with thank

Intuit Annual Employee Survey
Due to internal communications initiatives such
asTake a Bow, we saw scores go up in Intuit
India’s Annual Employee Survey.
Compared to results from 2015, in 2016:
• Our Employee Engagement (I would
recommend Intuit as a Great place toWork)
score went up 8 points to 88%.
• Our Workgroup Commitment (Where I work
we care about each other as individuals)
score went up 4 points to 91%.
We attribute these results to our ongoing
efforts in creating the best possible work
experience for our employees.
