QUESTION 4
How did you use new technologies in the
construction and research, planning and
evaluation stages?
Blogger
• Through-out pre and post production blogger was vital in
helping us create the music video we wanted, we were
able to look back at previous years works and find out
what they did and how they did. It also enabled us to work
as a group and post things individually but it also showed
us as a group. With blogger we were able to track our
progress as a group as we had many different posts from
planning our video, animatic, feedback on animatic and
feedback on the final video itself.
Cannon Camera
• In post production, this camera was useful as we needed
to use it to take pictures of our location, so we can
comment on it to see if it will fit in with the music video we
were creating. From that in post-production, I was able to
use the camera for the animatic and to ask feedback on
the animatic, as the camera was a professional camera
this was very beneficial in the actual filming of the video
as it gave the video a professional look which as the
camera was able to be used in HD
Social Networking
• Twitter and Youtube was key in pre-production as it told
us about target audience and it also said who was
interested in the band. For example on Twitter the band
has over million followers, this shows that it was very
popular socially and if you was to search in Arctic
Monkeys on twitter you will find a lot of tweets about them
this showed they were popular. Youtube was popular as
we were able to look at what their videos were like and
see if we could do something different with the video we
created. Also when we looked at other bands in
comparison Youutbe was good as it is easily to look up.
Our final product was posted on Youtube as well
Macs and iMovie
• iMovie is a programme which you can get on the Apple
Macs, it is a easy programme to use as all you need to do
is put the SD card from the camera into the Mac and it will
save all the footage from it to the Mac, from that, I was
able to use the features iMovie to create the music
video, was able to put the track in the background of the
footage was able to cut and change to make the video
look more effective, also an effect that was on iMovie
which was used in the final video was the black and white
effect into colour, this was used to try get across the
narrative and it worked successfully.
Slideshare
• Slideshare is a website that allows powerpoints to be put
onto the blogger, it is another visual way to get something
on the blog, it looks creative and different. It can also
appeal to those who are reading on the blog.

Evaluation Question 4

  • 1. QUESTION 4 How did you use new technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
  • 2. Blogger • Through-out pre and post production blogger was vital in helping us create the music video we wanted, we were able to look back at previous years works and find out what they did and how they did. It also enabled us to work as a group and post things individually but it also showed us as a group. With blogger we were able to track our progress as a group as we had many different posts from planning our video, animatic, feedback on animatic and feedback on the final video itself.
  • 3. Cannon Camera • In post production, this camera was useful as we needed to use it to take pictures of our location, so we can comment on it to see if it will fit in with the music video we were creating. From that in post-production, I was able to use the camera for the animatic and to ask feedback on the animatic, as the camera was a professional camera this was very beneficial in the actual filming of the video as it gave the video a professional look which as the camera was able to be used in HD
  • 4. Social Networking • Twitter and Youtube was key in pre-production as it told us about target audience and it also said who was interested in the band. For example on Twitter the band has over million followers, this shows that it was very popular socially and if you was to search in Arctic Monkeys on twitter you will find a lot of tweets about them this showed they were popular. Youtube was popular as we were able to look at what their videos were like and see if we could do something different with the video we created. Also when we looked at other bands in comparison Youutbe was good as it is easily to look up. Our final product was posted on Youtube as well
  • 5. Macs and iMovie • iMovie is a programme which you can get on the Apple Macs, it is a easy programme to use as all you need to do is put the SD card from the camera into the Mac and it will save all the footage from it to the Mac, from that, I was able to use the features iMovie to create the music video, was able to put the track in the background of the footage was able to cut and change to make the video look more effective, also an effect that was on iMovie which was used in the final video was the black and white effect into colour, this was used to try get across the narrative and it worked successfully.
  • 6. Slideshare • Slideshare is a website that allows powerpoints to be put onto the blogger, it is another visual way to get something on the blog, it looks creative and different. It can also appeal to those who are reading on the blog.
