The best performing sales people lead their prospects from dissatisfaction to delight. When you get that mind-set… everything will change about how you communicate in sales. And when this happens much of the resistance you currently experience will disappear.A-Grade Prospected DO want you to lead them to the solution, they want you to relieve their pain and frustrations, to help them meet their goals… so focus on changing the way you see yourself in sales and begin to lead the prospect rather than try to ‘convince’ them.
Step 2: Build an irresistible pot of honey for your prospects… then automate it. The key here is that prospects are pushing the sales person out of the front end of the sales process. They prefer to do their own research and educate themselves on what they are about to purchase. But... who is the best person to educate them… you… you’re the expert in solving the prospects problems and you have the products and services to do it.
Your knowledge on how to solve the prospects problems, when packaged correctly is like an irresistible pot of honey to your prospect.You can package your knowledge into a Special 3-page report or a 2 minute video and many other ways. And the key to this is to think “How To” and “Pain Relief” … they want your knowledge on how to relieve their pain…
OK Step 3: Lean the secrets of high converting sales meeting and proposals. Now if you’ve ever been to a session on closing the sale, you probably sat in your seat and felt a bit ‘creaped out’… you may have been thinking I’m not saying that or doing that to my prospects!I agree with you 100%... if it feels pushy to you, then it is… trust your gut and don’t do anything that is going to give you a bad reputation.You want to be authentic in selling… you want prospects to feel comfortable talking to you about their challenges… not to be wary of you because you are being too pushy.When you have the identity of a leader, you can lead your prospects through a problem solving process… you can use great quality questions and advanced listening skills to find out exactly why the prospect will by your product/service…. and indeed if they won’t… this saves you from wasting time doing proposals and following up with prospects who aren’t going to buy.
Your ability to lead the sales meeting and uncover the REAL reasons why a prospect will buy is often the missing piece of the puzzle for many people in sales.Once you can master the leadership process of sales meetings and you know the anatomy of a winning written sales proposal, you’ll never look back.
