36. Blessed Timothy Giaccardo with Blessed James Alberione In 1917 Joseph joined the newly founded Pauline Family. He was ordained in 1919. His religious name was taken in honor of Paul’s great co-worker, St. Timothy.

53. As soon as she left, Fr. Alberione passed the mattress to one of the boys in his care.

55. Fr. Alberione met his match! Finally, she personally accompanied the next mattress. “ Remember, I’m not giving this to you but only lending it, and I intend to be able to come back and get it at any moment. For that reason, only you can use it. Do I make myself understood?”

She went on to help the Society of St. Paul edit The Gazette of Alba , she assisted whenever she could in reading and correcting proofs, and she even wrote two manuscripts of her own: “The Duties of Daughters” and “The Duties of Wives and Mothers.”
