team for Baton Rouge’s Sanitary Sewer Overflow Program (SSOP) under CH2M Hill
• Managed seven SSOP programs set throughout the Baton Rouge area. Charged with keeping both CH2M-
Hill and City Council updated with weekly reports on program progress and community outreach. Also
worked within each program to quickly address both community and government concerns.
• Liaison officer to the SSOP to assist in responding to public inquiries and concerns regarding the SSOP
• Serves as Liaison between the public and the SSOP to aid in quickly educating and updating communities
and businesses affected by SSOP work
• Responsible for interacting with SSOP contractors to update them on public concerns regarding SSOP
contractor work and identifying potential opportunities for community outreach

• Maintained and produced content for department website, program website, and program social networking
accounts. Responsible for daily updates to websites as well as integrating suggested website redesigns
from upper management.
• Created Social Networking pages for the LTCP (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube) marking the first time that any
Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals program had a presence on any social networking site.
Recently an official DHH Twitter and Facebook page was created, two years after the LTCP began their
pages.
• Created and released over 210 press releases, as well as aided in production of program advertisements for
TV, Newspaper, and Online use. All media releases required the feedback received from program managers
and DHH upper management to be taken into consideration and considered when creating future
campaigns. Volunteered to serve as LTCP representative at DHH Communication meetings to learn of all
current Department media for opportunities to "piggyback" on and participate in other campaigns.
• Served as Acting Chair for Louisiana Tobacco Control Program Disparities Coalition Committee for over
three years; provided technical support as media liaison and assisting in the development of media
campaigns for community non- profits.
• Acts as liaison between LTCP and sister organization "Tobacco Free Living" (TFL) in New Orleans.
Responsible for bi-weekly communications meetings as well as information sharing between the two
organizations. Managed campaign timelines to insure that LTCP media did not interfere or repeat media
messages from TFL or other community non-profits.
• Regularly worked alongside Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals Bureau of Media and
Communications (BMAC) during creation of media projects. Received suggestions from BMAC that were
integrated into media campaigns to insure all Department concerns were addressed.
• Served as public representative for all media campaigns and website campaigns. Collected input and
opinions from local communities on current media campaigns to serve as data for shaping of future
campaigns as well as possible inclusion in future media (personal stories from real people.) Responsible for
storing all information in database.
