Motivation is the internal psychological process
that activates the person to fulfill his needs by
achieving the objectives.

• Motivation is any internal factor or condition
that needs to initiate or sustain an activity.
• B.F. Skinner. Motivation in school learning
involves arousing, persisting, sustaining and
directing desirable behaviour.
3. Nature and characteristics of
motivation.
• It is an internal process.
• This is an internal process. First it is
psychological factor which is controlled by
physical conditions.
4. • In the school environment motivation arouses
the behavior of pupils, directs it and help the
pupils to persist in it.
• A teacher can make anything do by the
student in the class by it.
5. • A person is motivated to do an activity only
when he is driven by an internal need for that
job. When study becomes the need of the
pupil, he is motivated to study. it can be
created by the teacher also if it is not there in
the student.

life. Teacher has to give this objectives to the
students who are not having it.

of students. Give the motivation of need of
