• Picasa is a free program
• Available at http://picasa.google.com/
• Also available (for learning purposes) on
the computers in the Meadow Lakes

10. • When you add pictures to your hard drive, they are
automatically added to the Picasa library
• You can add pictures to your hard drive from:
– A camera
– A scanner
– The Web

21. • To rename a group of photos, do
the following:
– Select the photo(s) you wish to rename.
– On the File Menu, Left-click on Rename (or
simply press F2)
– Enter the common name you wish to use for
this group of photos.
– If you selected 12 photos from a family
picnic and selected to rename them "picnic",
the files will now be renamed 'picnic.jpg'
through 'picnic-11.jpg'.
– Click the Rename button.
32. • Select the photos by Left clicking on
them and press the Delete key on the
keyboard
• Deleted photos are retained in the
Recycle Bin for some time after their
deletion and can be retrieved from there
47. • Every word in the caption is searchable
• Captions can be printed when you print the photo
• Captions appear in slide shows of your photos
• Captions will display with your photo when you
upload them to Picasa Web Albums
• You can have captions display below the
thumbnails of your photos in the Library view
• Captions are stored with the picture file itself,
so are visible in many other programs.
