1. Permanent Teacher
2. Bachelor’s Degree for teachers or equivalent
as provided in Magna Carta teachers
3. Very Satisfactory performance rating for the
last two ratings/years.
4. At least three years experience.
5. At least 25 points in leadership and potential
or has been a demonstration teacher on
the district level plus 15 points in
leadership and potential
Master Teacher II
1. Master Teacher I for at least one year.
2. Very satisfactory rating as Master Teacher I
3. Bachelor’s degree for teachers or equivalent as
provided in Magna Carta) PLUS Completion of
academic requirements for M.A.
4. At least 30 points in leadership, potential and
achievements or demonstration teacher on the
division level plus 20 points in leadership and
potential provided the activities or
accomplishments cited for this purpose had not
been credited or used for earlier promotion

  • 13. Who could be promoted to Master Teacher ? 1. Only those who are actually teaching shall be considered for Master Teacher position.
  • 14. 2. A Master Teacher shall be selected on the basis of the criteria indicated in the MEC. Order no. 10, s. 1979.
  • 15. Master Teacher I 1. Permanent Teacher 2. Bachelor’s Degree for teachers or equivalent as provided in Magna Carta teachers 3. Very Satisfactory performance rating for the last two ratings/years. 4. At least three years experience. 5. At least 25 points in leadership and potential or has been a demonstration teacher on the district level plus 15 points in leadership and potential
  • 16. Master Teacher II 1. Master Teacher I for at least one year. 2. Very satisfactory rating as Master Teacher I 3. Bachelor’s degree for teachers or equivalent as provided in Magna Carta) PLUS Completion of academic requirements for M.A. 4. At least 30 points in leadership, potential and achievements or demonstration teacher on the division level plus 20 points in leadership and potential provided the activities or accomplishments cited for this purpose had not been credited or used for earlier promotion
  • 17. Itemized MERIT Points for Leadership Potential and Accomplishment and the Required Documents Criteria Requirements Assigned Points A.   • 19. Criteria Requirements Assigned Points • Simplification of work as in: - reporting system - record keeping etc. or procedures that resulted in cost reduction Implemented in the district with positive result outcome certified by school head/ district supervisor
  • 20. Criteria Requirements Assigned Points • Worthwhile income generating project for pupils given recognition by higher officials Implemented in the division with positive outcome certified by supervisors.
  • 21. Criteria Requirements Assigned Points B. Served as subject coordinator or grade chairman for at least one year. B.1.Grade Chairman with designation approved by SDS and accomplishment report. B.2. Subject Area Coordinator with designation signed by SDS and accomplishment report
  • 22. Criteria Requirements Assigned Points Or as adviser of any Special school organization for at least two years Provided such assignments or services are in addition to, and not considered part of the regular teaching load Adviser of school Publication with at least two published school news letters or Adviser of School Organization with designation such as SPG, School Rondalla approved by SDS and accomplishment report, Action Plan, etc.

  • 25. Criteria Requirements Assigned Points C.3. School Programs definite program of the school in any subject area. Where: 1. expertise of teacher is utilized 2. she is the chairman e.g. Filipino / English Remedial Reading Instruction - School Involvement Action plan
  • 26. Criteria Requirements Assigned Points D. Educational Research Conducted educational / action research approved by the SDS with - permit to conduct - approved proposal - monitoring report by district education supervisor 12 points Participa- tion as member 7 points

Coordinator of community projects for at least two years Coordinator of other agency’s program for rural improvement activity: - feeding - nutrition - agro-industrial fairs - with approved proposal and action plan - accomplishment 12 points Participa- tion as member 7 points
