2. What is Teen Tech Week?

Teen Tech Week is a national initiative sponsored by
YALSA and is aimed at teens, their parents, educators
and other concerned adults. The purpose of Teen Tech
Week is to ensure that teens are competent and ethical
users of digital media, especially the nonprint resources
offered through libraries, such as e-books, e-readers,
databases, audiobooks, and social media.

3. Spring Companion to Teen Tech Week
Teen Read Week™ is a national adolescent
literacy initiative created by the Young Adult
Library Services Association (YALSA). It began
in 1998 and is held annually during the third
week of October. Its purpose is to encourage teens
to be regular readers and library users.
