• Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities,
Threats (SWOT)
• 3 Year Targets
• 1 Year Goals
• 90 Day Action Plans
• Weekly Action Steps
• Daily Affirmations
8. Vision, Mission, Values

10. You MUST Know the Numbers
• Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are the lifeblood of
every business
– Based on the wisdom that “you can’t manage what you
can’t measure”
• 5-8 key measures for the company overall
– Could have 5-8 more specific ones for each
deparment/function, as well
• Linked to strategic goals
• Track changes over time
• Understandable and inspirational
11. We overestimate
what we can do in the short term,
and
UNDERESTIMATE
what we can do in the long-term!
12. Goal-Setting Time Frames
• 3 Year Targets - Where you want to go
• 1 Year Goals - What you want to accomplish
• Quarterly Actions - How you will meet goals
• Weekly Schedule - When actions will occur
• Daily Accountability - Who is going to do what, by when
13. Reviewing Your Plan
• Daily 10 -15 minutes
• Weekly 1 hour
• Monthly ½ day
• Quarterly Full day each quarter
• Annually 2 days annually
• 3 Years Extended retreat
14. The shocking truth is that most
meetings are poorly run and leave
people feeling drained, rather than
energized.
Is that a recipe for success?
15. The Importance of Meeting Rhythms
• The purposes of a meeting are to
– share information
– discuss issues
– make decisions
– build alignment.
• In our hyper-connected, “always on 24/7” world,
it is more important than ever to have a meeting
schedule that increases connection,
communication, and decision-making.
