Enter your search terms
in the single search box.
NOTE: use Boolean
operators.

Choose Images from the
navigation menu.

Click on small gear
icon located in the top
right corner.
Choose Advanced
search from the
drop-down menu.
Scroll down to the
bottom of the page to
find usage rights.
Choose the appropriate
license filter, usually
free to use, share, or
modify, from the dropdown menu. Click
Advanced Search.
Review results list and
select an image.
Choose the image you
wish to use. Click View
Page to find the original
image location.
Locate attribution. When
using images it is
essential to give a full
attribution of the source
of any material used.
Sharing images, including
making them available
on Blackboard or
Moodle, is not permitted
unless:
• you are the copyright
holder
• you have permission
of the copyright
holder to do so

For faculty and students to establish and maintain professional and academic integrity, all images
used in presentations and handouts (PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.) must be:
•
used in accordance with copyright law or have received permissions for use
•
covered by fair use and public domain stipulations
•
correctly cited
The attribution can be placed on the corresponding individual slide with the image or properly listed
in a single slide at the end of the presentation deck.
