1. Stages of Pregnancy
Life begins at conception. When the egg is released, it travelled in the fallopian tube
until a sperm comes in and penetrates it. If sperm penetrates the egg, fertilization
happens, then implantation is next, and life begins.
One of the best thing in woman’s life is to carry one or more offspring, also known as
fetus or embryo inside a womans womb this is called pregnancy. To be a mother, to
produce life is not a joke, it is a gift of life to another human being. In a pregnancy,
there can be a single, or multiple gestation, a twins, triplets, quadruplet in some cases.
But do you know that from the very start of child bearing stages you will go through a
lot of changes physically, emotionally and mentally? Going through various
discomforts like nausea/vomiting, fatigue, back pain, dizziness, cramps, mood swings,
indigestion and blood pressure problems the early stage of pregnancy can be
extremely difficult. Since every pregnancy is a unique experience, the nature of
problems can differ in every case. As these evident changes are is being experienced
by a pregnant woman, the life inside her womb goes through different stages too. The
following are the 3 stages that a baby is going through.
First Trimester (first 12 weeks)
Brain, spinal cord, and circulatory sytem begun to form
Arm and leg buds appear
Baby grows about 1/3 of an inch
Eyes starts forming
The nerves and muscles begin to work together
Eyelids close to protect the developing eyes
Second Timester
Muscle tissue and bone continue to form
The baby is about 4 to 5 inches long and almost 3 ounce in
weight
Lanugo started to form (lanugo is the soft downy hair that
covers the fetus)
Footprints and fingerprints have formed
Hair is growing on the baby’s head
The lungs starts to form
The baby sleeps and wake regularly
Weight about 1 and a half pounds
About 12 inches long
Third Trimester
The bones are fully formed
Weights about 6 pounds
Vernix coating starts to thicken
Their organs are fully developed
Labor follows
