Getresponse vs Aweber - A Comparison Of Email Marketing Giants is a one on one battle between two of the greatest email marketing services on the internet. In this comparison, I will be comparing pricing, opt in forms, automation, overall email composition, list importing, tracking, and deliverability to come to a conclusion of which service is better. After having extensive experience using both, I will show you the winner in each category with my overall winner at the end to give you a chance to make a better decision of which one of these powerful email marketing services is best for you.
5. Opt In Forms
It’s hard to just break this down into numbers,
so I had to go by choices and ease of use…
I believe Aweber has more choices of opt in
form templates and better doing for
installation, as well as collecting leads. They
both are about equal in customization of
forms. Winner → Aweber
7. Automation
- RSS Emails (Blog Broadcasts): I had lots of
trouble with Aweber’s RSS email configuration
and Getresponse RSS worked so easily, coding
emails exactly how I wanted.
- Autoresponders: It’s really a tie between
autoresponders. More of a personal preference
Slight Winner → Getresponse
9. Overall Email Composition
- Both have countless email templates (I think
Getresponse has more though with over 500)
- Getresponse has a cleaner layout and easier-
to-use design for composition.
- Getresponse shows you how the email looks
on devices before it is sent. Aweber doesn’t.
Winner → Getresponse
11. List Importing
- Aweber: when importing, every subscriber
has to re-subscribe to new list
- Getresponse: when importing, just upload
the txt file of the list and after it is reviewed
and determined credible, all your subscribers
are transferred within a few hours.
Winner→ Getresponse
13. Tracking
- Both have an app for checking stats
- Both track open rates, click-through rates,
unsubscribe rates, dates and times, etc.
- Getresponse adds analytics of goal
conversions, email ROI, social sharing, one on
one email comparisons, and stats by device.
Winner → Getresponse
15. Deliverability
From my research, you won’t see a big
difference in deliverability. Both are in the
90% range. One top marketer claims Aweber’s
deliverability isn’t as reliable anymore thanks
to spammers using the service. But it’s
speculation. No proof was given.
Winner → Tie
16. The Verdict
I have you used both services for my email
marketing and decided to switch from Aweber
to Getresponse. Maybe you still prefer
Aweber. Maybe you will choose Getresponse
now. I just gave you the facts with my opinion
and now you can make the best decision for
yourself.
