not easy, the cost is great.
• Man is full of sin, but this does not keep him
from attaining glory.
• Christian's journey moves from the City of
Destruction to the Celestial City.
• The more significant journey is the one that
happens inside a pilgrim.
• Christian must "cross the river and join in
Heaven.

• He is free to live home, his wife and children; and they also free
to follow him.
• Faithful is brought up for trial in Vanity-Fair because of telling
truth.
• All rich man and women are against him because they hate
truth and God.

from their mistakes on their journey.
• It is not an option for a pilgrim to start and
stop as he or she pleases, or to undertake
the journey with personal designs.
• The pilgrim must move on spiritually.

twice or meets the same enemy twice.

• We also find Bunyan’s characters themselves in prison
--Christian sees a man in an iron cage at the Interpreter’s house ;
-- Christian and Faithful are jailed in Vanity-Fair;
-- Christian and Hopeful are imprisoned by Giant Despair;

8. Power of the Word
• In the "Pilgrim Progress" the power of the
word was so much that people accepted
this book as the book of holy writings.
• Therefore the word of the God existed in
the entire plot as the catalyst.
• When one pilgrim travels, he leaves his
records with the warnings for other
pilgrims, which help them in their
traveling.
• The pilgrims spend a great time in their
pilgrimage by talking to one another.
• Bunyan used these conversations in his
book to create religious conversations
among his readers.
