Yarn: Worsted Weight (Red Heart Shimmer)
Crochet Hook: 4mm [US G-6], 5mm [US H-8]
Tapestry Needle
Stitches used:
(ch)chain
(st) stitch
(sl st) slip stitch
(sc) single crochet
(dc) double crochet
(beg) beginning
Shell: 2dc, ch1, 2dc
Begining shell: dc, ch1, 2dc
Hat:
Using larger hook ch 4. Join into a ring. (Slip stich into 1st chain)
Round 1: Ch 3 (count as first dc) 11 dc in ring. Join. (12)
Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc into each stitch, sl st to join (24)
Round 3: Ch 3, *2 dc in the next st, dc in next st, repeat from * around, join (36)
Round 4: Ch 3, *dc in the next st, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 2 sts repeat from * around, join (48)
Round 5: Ch 3, *dc in the next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts repeat from * around, join (60)

Round 6: Ch 3, dc in the next 3 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 4 sts repeat from * around, join (72)
Round 7: Ch 3, dc in each st around; join (72)
Round 8: Ch 3 dc, ch dc 2 in same st (beg. shell made) *skip 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, skip 2 sts Shell in
next st. Repeat from * around, join.
Round 9-13: Sl-st across to next ch1 space, (ch3, 1dc, ch1, 2dc) into ch1 space, 2 dc between next 2
sts, *work shell in next ch 1 space, 2 dc between next 2 sts. Repeat from * around, join.
Round 14-18: Using smaller hook, ch1 work 1sc into each dc around join.
Round 19: Ch 3, 4 dc in same sp as ch 1, skip 2 sts, sc in next sp, *skip 2 sts, 5 dc in next st, skip 2 sts,
sc st in next st. Repeat from * around, join, then fasten off and weave in ends.
