This document describes an intermediate German language course that is being adapted to a blended format. The course goals are to develop language skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening about German culture. In the blended version, some traditional in-class activities will be done online through videos, discussions and interactive exercises. Challenges of ensuring equal instruction and learning outcomes in the blended format are discussed. A sample weekly schedule compares the traditional and blended course structures.
