2. GOST
 Originally developed by Soviet Union as part of its national
standardization strategy.
 GOST is an acronym of
gosudarstvennyy standart (Russian: государственный стандарт)
Simply, it means “State Standard”.
Now, GOST becomes Regional Standards developed by EASC and
GOST R is the national standard of Russian Federation.
So, Guess you see the differentiation between GOST & GOST R.

3. Introduced on January 1, 2010
GOST R – becomes effective for also, Eurasian
Customs Union (EACU) .
1. Russia
2. Kazakhstan
3. Belarus
It works for two new states in CU as well
Armenia and Kyrgyzstan
Important, GOST R Expired in March 2015 !
GOST R / TR Certification

4.  This is the certification of conformity that required to clear goods
through the customs while exporting to Russia and CU.
 It is a approved document that concerned products are testifying to
relevant Standards and safe to use (Generally) !
Technical Regulation (TR Certification will replace GOST R gradually)
The certification mark is replaced by EAC Mark !!
15/03/2015 – Validity of ALL GOST R Certificates will expire.

depending on the types of your products !!
What is GOST R / TR Certificate?

5. Coming into force on February 15th, 2013:
In align with unification of requirements for member
countries of Customs Union, the new regulations will be on
 Safety of machinery and equipment
 Safety of equipment used in the explosive atmosphere
 Safety of devices working on gas fuel
 Safety of low voltage equipment
 EMC of technical devices
 Safety of lifts (from April 18th, 2013)

6. (TR CU Certificate of Conformity or EAC Certificate)
TR CU is valid up to 5 years for serial production.
The Certificate of Conformity of the CU can only be issued by
certification bodies – registered in the Unified Register of
Certification Bodies and Testing Laboratories of The Customs
Union.

Personally, I am not experienced in getting one ! My research is also limited due to lack of

9. EMC Regulation
(TP TC 020/2011)
“Applicable to any equipment (released in CU), which is able to
create electromagnetic disturbances and if quality of equipment
operation depends from external EM Disturbances influence.”
(article 1)
EMC concerned with both Emission & Immunity – that’s why you
can follow CE Mark Reports for EMC portion !!
