You can create a finished product, work collaboratively or try out a context you have not worked with before – you are to define your working practice.

  • 13. 7 Submission of project work Submission of Report All work to be submitted that you have created for BA3a BA3a Project 1 Research Report BA3a Project 2 Interiors BA3a Project 3 Fashion An opportunity to reflect on the work you have created – you will be measured against the Learning Outcomes Unit Assessment Requirements Which Unit Assessment Requirement this work contributes to: A Learning Agreement A Body of creative work A portfolio of design conclusions that respond to the learning agreement that you have completed. Research and supporting documentation Sketchbooks that show visual research, Technical research files and contextual research files A Reflective Journal A 500-word summary of the key points in your reflective journal. You should also provide details of how your reflective journal can be accessed on-line. A Research Report of 5,000 words or an extended Research Report of 10,000 words A research report submitted online. Details of the submission process will be presented on the VLE.

  • 17. Learning Outcome How you will be assessed: LO1: Demonstrate rigorous use of recognised methods to test and analyse concepts, materials and processes appropriate to your area of study. We will be looking for evidence of visual and research and appropriate development of technical skills. We will consider how you have applied and tested workshop processes to a range of materials relevant to your project.
  • 18. Learning Outcome How you will be assessed: LO2: Show ability to construct and develop arguments using knowledge and methods pertinent to current research and practice in your subject. We will be looking for your ability to sustain an argument or position within your 5000 or 10000-word research report. We will be looking for a focused approach to researching, analyzing and communicating including posing relevant research questions, showing depth and breadth in your range of research sources, utilizing appropriate research methods and producing both a final body of studio work and a related Research Report.

Learning Outcome How you will be assessed: LO3: Show evidence of utilising a range of independently gathered scholarly information including primary material and academic or industry-based research. We will be looking for evidence of visual and text based research that informs your design practice and research report.
  • 20. Learning Outcome How you will be assessed: LO4: Develop questions and make informed judgments that allow potential solutions to problems to be identified We will be looking for evidence of design development from initial research to final conclusions. We will consider the research you have undertaken to inform your design choices.
  • 21. Learning Outcome How you will be assessed: LO5: Communicate creatively and appropriately to a variety of audiences using text and images. We will be looking for evidence of presentation skills that are appropriate for your defined audience. This should be visible in your final design conclusions.
  • 22. Learning Outcome How you will be assessed: LO6: Demonstrate a clear approach to planning and developing a career in the creative industries. We will be looking for evidence of a considered portfolio of design work that is appropriate for the contexts that you have chosen to work towards.
