67. > The UW Tacoma Library will be a catalyst for the UW Tacoma
community.
> We will do this by offering services, infrastructure, and environments
designed to help students achieve their dreams and faculty to create new
knowledge that positively impacts the local community and beyond. We will
provide a place for the community to come together around shared interests
to learn, achieve, create, and reflect.
The vision of the UW Tacoma Library
69. > I depend upon the subject area specialists like Suzanne Klinger, Glenda
Pearson, Matt Parsons, and Theresa Mudrock all the time to find stuff, use
new resources, and stay abreast of scholarship. I couldn't do my job without
them. Really.
> I understand that you are seeking specifics, but I just want to say that in the
11 years I have been teaching at UWT the librarians have been the most
consistently supportive campus resource to my teaching and research.
> Our library has not kept pace with campus growth at UWT. There is
insufficient staff to serve our growing (and needy) student body, much less to
support faculty sufficiently in research. There is talent and good will, just not
enough time or resources.

71. > Above all, the Library is great.
> Access to scholarly papers, once explained by a librarian, has been an
invaluable resource.
> As a student, I regularly use the UWT Library and the many services they
offer. The resources available throughout the library are of extreme
importance for all students wishing to make the most of their learning
experience academically. Thank you for providing all the learning
opportunities associated with the UWT Library services.
> Every class I have had has required me to use the library services. Recently
I was able to find plenty of resources through the library system for a paper.
It's great to use at home when I'm away from campus or to pick up books
that I can request through the system.
